You're here because your pain is getting in the way of your lifting.

You're worried about it getting worse and having to give up lifting heavy.

You've already reached out for help and you’ve been told that getting hurt is the risk you take from lifting heavy, that it's dangerous and you need to stop.

If they gave you any help it was probably some old granny physio with banded or bodyweight exercises that’s nothing like your normal training.

The reality is none of that helped and giving up lifting isn't an option. It's a part of who you are and how you stay fit and healthy.

If that's the case, you've come to the right place.

I can help you fix your injuries by lifting weights.

Imagine lifting heavy again with no pain, getting stronger and building muscle. You're looking and feeling great and you're the envy of all your friends.

You're in control of your health, you're on track to keep up with your kids as they grow older and be the old person in the gym showing the young kids how it's done.

The exercises that he prescribed me were completely different. I was always told not to do stuff with an injury whereas now, I was being told to actually do stuff.

“With Alex it was something different, and it certainly threw me the first time because we sat down and he started asking me questions about all sorts of things.

I'd automatically just assumed straight away I had done my cruciate back in again, and that was it - career over for weightlifting. Or the best case scenario, that he'd tell me to stop doing that, stop doing squats or anything, and then slowly introduce them back in.

But it wasn't. The exercises that he prescribed me were completely different. I was always told not to do stuff with an injury whereas now, I was being told to actually do stuff.

So it was a real eye-opener into how a weightlifting physio experience should be. I'm now back to full fitness. I'm looking to compete again for the British Masters coming up in March, and then the Europeans in June.”

whether you want to lose weight, get stronger, fix an injury. I wanted to achieve all of those things. And so far, I've really seen some benefits.

“I was checking my weight and I could see it measurably changing each week, and dropping a few points in body fat over, a couple of months, that was pretty cool to watch. And just generally, the physical transformation, seeing my body physically transform is pretty, pretty, impactful.

And then specifically measurably, my cardio going up so much with some of the kind of hit training that we've been doing is pretty, pretty cool.

Specific results from the program, I had a shoulder injury with some stuff going on with my left shoulder. So between Alex and I, with the strength physio method we've been strengthening the muscles around the shoulder, and I get less pain and I have more mobility in that shoulder and now I'm competing better in the sports that I play.

So whether you want to lose weight, get stronger, fix an injury. I wanted to achieve all of those things. And so far, working this strength physio program consistently for, I guess, the last, say, eight months, I've really seen some benefits.”

I've had no more repeat pain in my knee, and have improved my back strength and snatch technique as an unexpected side benefit, as well as hitting a Personal Best in my back squat.

“I was experiencing severe knee pain in my right knee that was inhibiting my weightlifting training and affecting me at work. As a weightlifter, I'm used to small injuries and niggles.

My usual approach would be to take lots of ibuprofen and take a week off of training. But it wasn't working this time.

I tried heat therapy and icing my knee, which provided short term relief, but the pain always came back.

Since doing weightlifting physiotherapy, I've had no more repeat pain in my knee…

I’ve improved my back strength and snatch technique and as an unexpected side benefit I’ve PB’ed my back squat.”

I'm now hitting PBs in every lift I do and my body has transformed.

“Before starting to work with Alex I had a few issues with my training. Consistency was one - I was just going to a CrossFit box and doing whatever was in the program, which totally varied week to week and was not at all tailored to me. As a result my training was quite sporadic and a bit lopsided, which meant I kept getting injured and I was only seeing gains in some areas while others were neglected.

I wasn't sure about starting to work with a coach, partly due to cost, but also as i just wasn't sure what value it would add beyond the community vibe at the gym. Obviously it is very different but the results I’ve achieved with weightlifting physiotherapy have been ridiculous.

I'm so much more consistent in my training as I know that Alex (the weightlifting physio) is there waiting to check in, because of the consistency in the program and the fact that I now stick carefully to it, I've made gains in every area and I'm no longer getting those injuries. I'm all over stronger and more robust which is a massive shift for me.

It hasn't been one huge moment, but with powerlifting physio I'm now hitting PBs in every lift and my body has transformed.

From my point of view I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to really focus on themselves and their training and to be properly supported by someone who knows what they're talking about.”

Since working with Strength Physiotherapy, I have no hip pain whatsoever, my strength has improved a lot and my technique's also improved by miles

“Not only did I find myself falling back in my training, but it also affected me day to day, like even getting in and out of a car became really difficult because of the hip pain.

I decided to go through to Strength Physiotherapy to help out with the problem.

I was a bit hesitant at first with their whole online coaching aspect. I did it because it fit perfectly in my timetable but I wasn't sure how not being there with my coach would work out.

But Alex was tremendous, the work that he did for me was incredible. He wrote me up some amazing programmes that not only helped my lifting technique but also fixed the problem.

Since working with Strength Physiotherapy, I have no hip pain whatsoever, my strength has improved a lot and my technique's also improved by miles.”

Amaar Wahab, Weightlifter
